The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) reported that the realization of the budget for handling Covid-19 and national economic recovery (PC-PEN) had only reached Rp214.9 trillion as of September 16, 2022.
"This realization is 47.2% of the budget ceiling of Rp455.62 trillion," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in a press conference on Monday (September 26).
Sri Mulyani detailed that the PC-PEN funds were allocated to three groups: health handling, community protection, and strengthening economic recovery.
Specifically, the government has disbursed Rp38.4 trillion for the health handling group. This realization is equivalent to 31.4% of the budget ceiling of Rp122.54 trillion.
These funds were used for Covid-19 patient claims (Rp23.8 trillion), health worker incentives (Rp2.6 trillion), vaccine procurement (Rp1.7 trillion), health tax incentives (Rp1.5 trillion), and APBD support for Covid-19 handling (Rp8.2 trillion).
Furthermore, the government also disbursed Rp100 trillion for community protection until September 16, 2022. This amount is equivalent to 64.6% of the budget ceiling of Rp154.76 trillion.
These funds were used to distribute social assistance (bansos) to recipients of the Family Hope Program/PKH (Rp21.4 trillion), Sembako cards (Rp31.9 trillion).
Funds were also disbursed for cooking oil BLT (Rp7.2 trillion), fuel BLT (Rp6.2 trillion), village fund BLT (Rp19 trillion), wage subsidy assistance/BSU (Rp2.6 trillion), Pre-employment program (Rp10.5 trillion), and Polri BT PKL WN assistance (Rp1.3 trillion).
Next, the funds used for the economic recovery group amounted to Rp76.4 trillion as of September 16, 2022, or 42% of the budget ceiling of Rp178.32 trillion.
These funds were allocated for labor-intensive programs (Rp12.7 trillion), infrastructure and connectivity (Rp9.7 trillion), tourism and creative economy (Rp4.7 trillion), food security (Rp12.4 trillion), industrial estates (Rp800 billion), UMKM support (Rp17.7 trillion), and tax incentives (Rp11.9 trillion).
