Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Onions Down (Saturday, March 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (16/3/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, red chilies, premium rice, farmer-level corn, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, shallots, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp11,670 (98.65%) to Rp23,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of garlic cloves saw the lowest decrease of Rp8,500 (23.29%) to Rp28,000 per kg.

8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (down 5.81%)
