West Sumatra Food Prices Saturday (28/12): Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (28/12/2024) at 08.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, granulated sugar, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, farmer-level corn, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp24,030 (52.27%) to Rp70,000 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp5,380 (11.93%) to Rp39,730 per kg.
