Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chili Prices Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 15, 2025) at 10.29 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are Mackerel, Minyakita, consumption salt, curly red chili, and Milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, dried soybeans (imported), bulk wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili commodities increased the most by Rp15,246 (27.79%) to Rp70,103 per kg. The price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most by Rp209 (2.41%) to Rp8,455 per kg.

4. Red Bird''s Eye Chili: Rp42,000 per kg (up 4.38%)
5. Shallots: Rp38,276 per kg (down 0.23%)
6. Mackerel: Rp38,179 per kg (up 0.43%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,000 per kg (up 2.69%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp35,345 per kg (up 1.96%)
9. Milkfish: Rp28,533 per kg (up 1.1%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,367 per kg (up 0.18%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,393 per kg (up 0.94%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,797 per liter (down 0.58%)
13. Consumption Sugar: Rp17,682 per kg (up 0.02%)
