Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices, Week of January 5th: What's the Price of Fish?

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (5/1/2025) at 11:57 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, tongkol fish, bandeng fish, garlic bulbs, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chili peppers, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp2,740 (3.13%), reaching Rp90,280 per kg. Shallots experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp1,150 (2.87%), reaching Rp38,980 per kg.
