Indonesia's Food Prices Wednesday (July 31st): Cooking Oil Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 2:51 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, pure beef, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour saw the highest price increase of Rp10 (0.1%) to Rp10,270 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp560 (2.01%) to Rp27,260 per kg.
