Cooking Oil Prices for Branded Products Highest in These 10 Provinces

Crude palm oil (CPO) prices are soaring in the international market. This has also caused the prices of branded packaged cooking oil to increase domestically.

Based on data from the Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS), the price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) in Gorontalo's traditional markets reached Rp 24,800/kilogram (kg) on November 15, 2021. This price is 32% higher than the national average and the highest among all provinces.

West Papua is in second place, with the price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) in its traditional markets reaching Rp 20,400/kg. Bangka Belitung follows with a price of Rp 20,150/kg for branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1).

The price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) in West Nusa Tenggara and Central Kalimantan is Rp 19,800/kg and Rp 19,750/kg respectively. The price in East Nusa Tenggara is Rp 19,700/kg.

Furthermore, the price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) in Maluku is Rp 19,400/kg. In Bali and South Sumatra, the price is the same at Rp 19,250/kg. Meanwhile, the price in Banten is Rp 19,100/kg.

The average price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) in Indonesia's traditional markets reached Rp 18,750/kg on November 15, 2021. This price has increased by 6.53% from the end of October 2021, which was Rp 17,600/kg.

Compared to the end of June 2021, the average price of branded packaged cooking oil (brand 1) has increased by 17.2%. The increase reaches 24% compared to the end of 2020 (year to date/ytd).
