Daily Garlic Prices in Traditional Markets of Papua Province Increased by 5.24% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp52,200. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, as is the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets has increased from Rp49,600.

Meanwhile, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 12.42%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp59,600.

The record high for the daily price of garlic in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2023 with an increase of 19.63%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in July 2023 at -16.93%.

According to PIHPS observations, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show six commodities decreased and 16 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Large Red Chili, Rice, Low-Quality Rice I, Low-Quality Rice II, Medium-Quality Rice I, and Medium-Quality Rice II.
