What is the original revenue of the West Java Provincial Government?

The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) successfully realized 101.3% of its Regional Original Revenue (PAD) budget of Rp 17.04 trillion in 2016. This amount comprised regional taxes of Rp 15 trillion, regional levies of Rp 73 million, profits from Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) and the management of separated regional assets of Rp 332 million, and other PAD sources totaling Rp 919 million.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik), since 2013, the West Java economy has shown a growth trend. One indicator is reflected in the province's PAD in Tanah Pasundan, which continuously increased from Rp 12.4 trillion to Rp 17.04 trillion in 2016.

However, the West Java Provincial Government only targeted a PAD of Rp 16.52 trillion in 2017, a decrease of 3.04% from the previous year's realization. The PAD ratio to the province's total regional revenue has tended to decrease from 67.4% in 2014 to only 61.54% in 2016. This indicates a decline in West Java's self-reliance in managing its finances from regional original revenue.
