Red Onion Prices in West Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Friday, January 7, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of shallots (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 42,720 per kg, data as of Friday, January 7, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 43,210 per kg.

The daily shallot price in modern markets in West Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 59,500 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the daily shallot price in this province did not change. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 90,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, in Gorontalo's modern markets, the daily shallot price was sold at Rp 59,500 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the daily shallot price in West Papua was Rp 53,400 per kg, North Maluku Rp 50,200 per kg, and West Sumatra Rp 48,950 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 10 provinces with daily shallot sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest daily shallot selling prices are North Kalimantan, East Java, and Jambi.
