North Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Wednesday, December 6, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (6/12/2023) at 13:52 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, premium rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, pure beef, skipjack tuna, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp11,860 (16.25%) to Rp84,850 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease, falling Rp11,640 (31.82%) to Rp24,940 per kg.
