West Java Food Prices Saturday (August 3rd): Oil Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (August 3, 2024) at 08:39 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chili peppers, farmer-level corn, dry soybean (import), pure beef, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, medium rice, curly red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn saw the highest price increase of Rp430 (8.48%) to Rp5,500 per kg. Red onion prices decreased the most sharply, by Rp3,030 (11.49%) to Rp23,350 per kg.
