Super I Grade Rice Prices in Modern Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of Super I quality rice in Riau Province's modern markets is recorded at Rp16,950 per kg. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

However, compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp16,800 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in Riau over the past three months has increased by 0.89% from the previously recorded price of Rp16,800 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets in this province was in April 2017, with an increase of 168.33%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2017, with a decrease of -58.41%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Riau today show 12 commodities decreased and 12 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Cooking Oil, Chili Peppers, Branded Cooking Oil 1, Large Red Chili Peppers, Red Chili Peppers, Green Chili Peppers, Red Chili Peppers, Curly Red Chili Peppers, Medium I Quality Rice, Chicken Meat, Chicken Eggs, and Fresh Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in Riau Province:

8. Red Chili Peppers per Kg Rp90,600 per kg (down 17.71%)
