The daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in DKI Jakarta Province for the last month remains at Rp16,550 per kg.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in DKI Jakarta Province is recorded at Rp17,500 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly unchanged over the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp16,550 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of granulated sugar in modern markets in DKI Jakarta over the last three months has increased by 5.74% from the previously traded price of Rp16,550 per kg.

The highest record of daily granulated sugar price increases in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 25.55%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -19.41%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in DKI Jakarta show 11 commodities decreased and 18 increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Chicken Meat, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Grade 2 Beef, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Cooking Oil, Beef, Medium-Sized Garlic, Garlic, Medium-Sized Red Onion, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, and Grade 1 Beef.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the last month in DKI Jakarta Province:

6. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp96,450 (up 97.04%)
7. Medium II Grade Rice per kg: Rp15,500 (up 13.55%)
8. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp27,800 (up 1.46%)
9. Inferior I Grade Rice per kg: Rp14,950 (up 5.65%)
10. Red Chili per kg: Rp110,950 (up 62.21%)
11. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp21,650 (down 8.65%)
12. Grade 2 Beef per kg: Rp165,450 (down 7.93%)
13. Super I Grade Rice per kg: Rp20,650 (up 3.77%)
