South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall (Thursday, February 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (February 1, 2024) at 13:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, red chili peppers, shallots, chicken eggs, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp540 (1.9%) to Rp28,910 per kg. Meanwhile, chicken meat experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp540 (1.76%) to Rp30,190 per kg.
