Food Prices Today (12/12) in Indonesia: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (12/12/2025) at 02:24 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include broiler eggs, curly red chili, shallots, and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, only red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Curly red chili saw the highest increase of Rp700 (1.17%) to Rp60,500 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper experienced the deepest decrease of Rp600 (0.81%) to Rp73,900 per kg.

9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,200 per kg (stable)
