Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra on February 24: Prices of Bird's Eye Chili, Red Chili and Onions Decline

Several food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are hindquarter beef, large red chili, broiler chicken eggs, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, red bird's eye chili, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of large red chili jumped the highest by Rp584 (1.31%) to Rp45,292 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili decreased the most by Rp423 (0.87%) to Rp48,036 per kg.
