Food Prices Friday (5/9) West Sumatra Region: Red Chili Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (5/9/2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 increased and 14 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk wheat flour, garlic, pure beef, large red chili, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, dried soybean (imported), SPHP rice, laying hen eggs, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of large red chili surged the highest by Rp4,666 (8.69%) to Rp58,333 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel decreased the most by Rp3,341 (6.07%) to Rp51,719 per kg.
