Food Prices Wednesday (27/8) in East Java: Salt, Red Chili, and Oil Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (27/8/2025) at 13.18 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include Minyakita, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, premium rice, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, skipjack tuna, milkfish, packaged cooking oil, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) saw the highest surge, Rp120,000 (inf%) becoming Rp120,000 per kg. Red onion prices dropped the most, by Rp1,042 (2.78%) to Rp36,481 per kg.
