Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Friday, August 2, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 94,340 per kg as of Friday, August 2, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 85,360 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 159,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 64,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Papua, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 145,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in South Kalimantan was Rp 119,900 per kg, North Maluku Rp 118,700 per kg, and Maluku Rp 118,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there were 14 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers were North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
