Current Food Prices in West Java: Rice Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (21/12/2024) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 17 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are premium rice, SPHP rice, farmer-level corn, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, garlic cloves, medium rice, fine iodized salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp30 (0.51%) to Rp5,900 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp2,270 (6.34%) to Rp33,540 per kg.
