Starting July 1, 2023, Bank Indonesia (BI) implemented a QRIS service fee for micro-business (UMi) merchants at a rate of 0.3% of the transaction value.

However, in the coming months, this service fee will be waived for UMi merchants processing transactions below Rp100,000.

Meanwhile, UMi merchants processing QRIS transactions of Rp100,000 and above will still be charged a 0.3% fee.

This new policy will be effective no earlier than September 1, 2023, and no later than November 30, 2023.

Small, medium, and large-scale merchants will continue to be charged a QRIS service fee of 0.7% of the transaction value, regardless of the transaction amount.

This service fee must be borne by the merchant and cannot be passed on to the consumer.

Micro Business Segment (UMi):
