Food Prices Tuesday (29/7) in South Sumatra: Onions Up, Chili Peppers Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (29/7/2025) at 08.38 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 17 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include large red chilies, red onions, curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, dried soybean seeds (imported), bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Garlic bulb commodity increased the highest by Rp2,000 (5.71%) to Rp37,000 per kg. Meanwhile, corn prices at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp6,250 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
