Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Bird''s Eye Chili Prices Up, Red Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (September 22, 2025) at 15:06 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 11 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, garlic (whole bulb), skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and wheat flour (bulk).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, dried soybean (imported), shallots, medium rice, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red bird''s eye chili saw the highest price increase of Rp2,497 (4.99%) to Rp52,526 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp2,554 (2.97%) to Rp83,573 per kg.
