Today's Food Prices February 05 in Central Java: Cooking Oil, Egg and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java were observed to increase today compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 5, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are red bird's eye chili, chicken eggs, shallots, curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as medium rice, bulk granulated sugar, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices rose the most by Rp4,666 (7.17%) to Rp69,759 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic prices fell the steepest by Rp167 (0.5%) to Rp33,389 per kg.

Below is the complete list of 16 food commodity prices in Central Java according to SP2KP Kemendag on February 5, 2026 at 15:17 WIB.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp69,759 per kg (up 7.17%)
3. Chicken Meat: Rp37,481 per kg (up 0.6%)
4. Shallots: Rp37,352 per kg (up 0.1%)
5. Honan Garlic: Rp33,389 per kg (down 0.5%)
6. Large Red Chili: Rp32,604 per kg (up 2.69%)
7. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,833 per kg (up 2.46%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,657 per kg (up 1.29%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,111 per liter (down 0.09%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,118 per liter (up 0.12%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,881 per kg (down 0.11%)
