Current Food Prices in the Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, at 12:20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

The commodities that increased in price are milkfish, red chilies, and red cayenne peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red onions, chicken eggs, chicken meat, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,930 (5.85%), reaching Rp34,900 per kg. Red onions saw the sharpest price drop of Rp410 (1.96%), reaching Rp20,460 per kg.
