Bekasi City's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp118.96 trillion. This represents a 5.43% increase compared to the previous year's Rp109.88 trillion.
Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID, growth recorded a decrease of 2.58%.
According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 2.5 million, the GRDP per capita in the region is recorded at Rp45,280,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 259th.
Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing sector in Bekasi City is a mainstay, contributing the largest share to the 2023 GRDP, reaching Rp40.06 billion. This represents a 4.58% growth compared to the previous year's Rp37.24 billion.
Following this, the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector grew by 3.01% to Rp24.83 billion, while the transportation and warehousing sector grew by 11.33% to Rp14.41 billion.
Rounding out the top five contributing sectors is accommodation and food services, with a GRDP of Rp5.01 billion. This sector recorded a 7.53% growth compared to the previous year's Rp4.57 billion.

In terms of distribution, the manufacturing sector contributed the largest share to GRDP growth in Bekasi City, accounting for 33.7%. Other top five sectors include wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, construction, transportation and warehousing, and information and communication.
Sectors with the smallest distribution include Health and Social Services, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Business Services, Water Supply, Waste Management, Waste and Recycling, and Mining and Quarrying.
