Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (13/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), premium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, curly red chilies, broiler chicken, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up by Rp330 (5.53%) to Rp6,300 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for broiler chicken, down Rp1,070 (3.06%) to Rp33,940 per kg.
