Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (10/1/2025) at 16:39 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are bulb garlic, milkfish, and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,130 (4.59%) to Rp25,740 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, by Rp5,490 (11.17%) to Rp43,670 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp25,740 per kg (up 4.59%)
