South Sumatra Food Prices on Tuesday (7/1): Chili Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (7/1/2025) at 16:39 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, premium rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp4,690 (6.68%) to Rp74,920 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp1,750 (6.64%) to Rp24,610 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,430 per kg (up 2.6%)
