Food Prices in DKI Jakarta Area Monday (Aug 25): Onion Prices Rise, Chicken Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (Aug 25, 2025) at 11:17 AM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include medium rice, Minyakita cooking oil, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, red onions, bulk cooking oil, consumption salt, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Garlic cloves saw the highest jump of Rp1,286 (3.01%) to Rp44,000 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna prices experienced the deepest decline of Rp882 (1.96%) to Rp44,118 per kg.

8. Curly Red Chili: Rp42,143 per kg (up 0.85%)
9. Mackerel: Rp42,059 per kg (down 0.59%)
10. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,563 per kg (down 0.98%)
