Latest Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Saturday, January 20, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (20/1/2024) at 10:03 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, chicken eggs, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,610 (4.4%) to Rp61,920 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp730 (10.41%) to Rp6,280 per kg.
