Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Prices of Chilies, Onions, and Salt Increase

Food prices in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:21 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 7 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, milkfish, chicken eggs, and chicken meat.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, medium rice, shallots, premium rice, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red curly chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp6,220 (12.21%) to Rp57,167 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,458 (3.27%) to Rp43,105 per kg.
