Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (26/9/2024) at 16.51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp1,520 (5.85%) to Rp27,490 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down by Rp2,880 (5.7%) to Rp47,690 per kg.
