Chicken Meat Prices in Traditional Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

According to the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets of Papua province is recorded at Rp42.95 thousand. This price is Rp150 higher than the previous day.

Compared to the past month, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp43.2 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in Papua has dropped by 1.6% over the past three months. Based on historical food price records from the PIHPS panel, the daily chicken meat price in Papua's traditional markets was traded at Rp43.65 thousand.

The record increase in daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 at 24.93%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023 at -19.96%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple commodities (sembako) in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 others increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium I Quality Rice, and Medium II Quality Rice.
