Garlic Prices in Central Sulawesi Increased by 11.44% in a Week

Garlic prices in Central Sulawesi reached Rp 48,700 per kg on Monday, February 7, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area showed the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, garlic prices in Central Sulawesi rose by 11.44% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, garlic prices in this region increased by 11.44%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current price of garlic in Central Sulawesi's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the January-February 2022 period, garlic prices in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 11.44% compared to the previous month.

Garlic prices reached their lowest point at Rp 43,200 per kg on Monday, January 3, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 48,700 per kg.

Nationally, garlic prices began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of garlic in modern markets was Rp 36,990 per kg, down 0.18% compared to the previous weekend.
