Today's Food Prices (12/2) in West Sumatra: Red Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 12, 2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 1 commodity decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases are large red chilies, red onions, and red bird's eye chilies.

Meanwhile, only curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp5,000 (12.5%) to Rp45,000 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp592 (1.11%) to Rp52,704 per kg.
