Latest Food Prices in West Java: Salt Up, Onions Down (Tuesday, January 16, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (16/1/2024) at 12:02 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, fine iodized salt, pure beef, granulated sugar, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), mackerel, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp790 (8.26%), reaching Rp10,350 per kg. Milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp820 (2.09%), reaching Rp38,460 per kg.
