South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Wednesday, March 20, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (20/3/2024) at 10:26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic cloves, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp360 (1.19%) to Rp30,720 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the least by Rp3,910 (6.7%) to Rp54,420 per kg.
