Food Prices in South Sumatra, Monday (October 20): Red Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (October 20, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, curly red chili, kembung fish, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, garlic, bulk cooking oil, red onion, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp1,004 (1.95%) to Rp52,426 per kg. Meanwhile, garlic prices fell the deepest by Rp387 (1.13%) to Rp33,754 per kg.
