Daily Red Chili Prices at Traditional Markets, February 2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 14:44 WIB, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in South Kalimantan Province increased by Rp2,500 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp35,200.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from the previous record of Rp40,000.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in South Kalimantan over the past three months has decreased by 23.89%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in South Kalimantan Province was traded at Rp46,250.

The record high for the daily price of red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in June 2019 with an increase of 87.48%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in April 2020 with a decrease of -31.97%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Kalimantan show three commodities decreased and ten others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Red Chili Peppers, Beef, and Chili Peppers.
