Today's Food Prices in Indonesia March 06: Onion, Oil and Chicken Meat Prices Drop

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (3/6/2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include premium rice, minyakita, red cayenne pepper, beef rump, and bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as wheat flour, premium packaged palm cooking oil, chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili pepper prices jumped the highest by Rp3,200 (8.38%) to Rp41,368 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili pepper prices dropped the most sharply by Rp240 (0.63%) to Rp37,930 per kg.

5. Red Onions: Rp40,020 per kg (down 0.38%)
6. Curly Red Chili Pepper: Rp37,930 per kg (down 0.63%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,349 per kg (down 0.18%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp30,914 per kg (down 0.14%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,096 per liter (down 0.02%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,230 per liter (up 0.12%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,882 per kg (down 0.02%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,910 per liter (up 0.04%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp15,335 per kg (up 0.04%)
