Current Food Prices in West Java: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (7/11/2024) at 15.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, medium-grain rice, milkfish, skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), Indian mackerel, garlic bulb, granulated sugar, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp130 (2.34%) to Rp5,690 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp410 (1.04%) to Rp38,980 per kg.
