North Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Onion, Chili, and Sugar Prices Rise (Friday, December 1, 2023)

Prices of several food commodities in North Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (1/12/2023) at 13:46 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), medium rice, broiler eggs, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) experienced the highest price increase of Rp500 (3.54%), reaching Rp14,640 per kg. Meanwhile, skipjack tuna experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp870 (2.34%), reaching Rp36,240 per kg.
