Banten Region Food Prices Wednesday (January 8th): What is the Price of Chicken Meat?

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (8/1/2025) at 12:28 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, milkfish, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up Rp38,760 (47.71%) to Rp120,000 per kg. Garlic bulbs experienced the sharpest price drop, down Rp4,500 (10.11%) to Rp40,000 per kg.
