Tangerang City Had the Largest Economy in Banten in 2020

Tangerang City's economy, measured by its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB), reached Rp 143.84 trillion in 2020. This figure is the highest among all regencies/cities in Banten.

The manufacturing industry is the largest contributor to Tangerang City's economy, amounting to Rp 49.2 trillion. This represents 34% of the city's total GRDP.

Tangerang Regency is in second place with a GRDP at current prices of Rp 136 trillion last year. Following is Cilegon City with a GRDP at current prices of Rp 103.18 trillion.

South Tangerang City and Serang Regency have GRDP at current prices of Rp 82.55 trillion and Rp 76.6 trillion, respectively. Serang City's GRDP at current prices is recorded at Rp 31.58 trillion.

Lebak Regency has a recorded GRDP at current prices of Rp 29.08 trillion. Meanwhile, Pandeglang Regency's GRDP at current prices is only Rp 28.49 trillion, the lowest in Banten.

Furthermore, Cilegon City had the highest per capita GRDP in Banten in 2020, at Rp 233.02 million. It is followed by Tangerang City with a per capita GRDP of Rp 63.26 million.

The per capita GRDP in Serang Regency and Tangerang City are Rp 50.6 million and Rp 45.87 million, respectively. Serang City's per capita GRDP is Rp 45.17 million.

Then, Tangerang Regency's per capita GRDP is Rp 34.79 million. Pandeglang Regency and Lebak Regency have per capita GRDPs of Rp 23.47 million and Rp 22.22 million, respectively.
