East Java Food Prices Tuesday (July 16th): Oil, Onion, and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (16/7/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, milkfish, chicken eggs, mackerel, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp940 (18.8%) to Rp5,940 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply by Rp2,330 (25.16%) to Rp6,930 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,750 per kg (down 0.07%)
