Daily Prices of Chicken Meat at Traditional Markets in West Papua Province Have Decreased by 1.61% Over the Past Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in West Papua Province increased by Rp700 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp48,800.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets has decreased from Rp49,600.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in West Papua over the past three months has increased by 5.06% from Rp46,450.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in this province was in December 2017, with an increase of 42.16%, while the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2018, with a decrease of -34.36%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Papua show 18 commodities decreased and eight increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Large Red Chili, Red Chili, Fresh Layer Eggs, Chicken Eggs, Rice, Premium Quality Sugar, Grade II Low-Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Grade I Medium Quality Rice, Grade II Medium Quality Rice, Grade I Super Quality Rice, Cooking Oil, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Chicken Meat, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Fresh Chicken Meat, Bird's Eye Chili, and Curly Red Chili.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in West Papua Province:
