Red Onion Prices in Modern Markets for the March 2025-2026 Period

Quoting the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily red onion price in modern markets of Riau Province remained unchanged compared to the previous day, just like the price trend over the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily red onion price in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp39.25 thousand per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily red onion price in modern markets in Riau over the past three months has fallen by 40.35%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily red onion price in modern markets of Riau Province is traded at Rp67.9 thousand per kg.

The record increase in daily red onion prices in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2017 with a 257.5% rise, and the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2017 with a -69.96% drop.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Riau today show three commodities have decreased and ten others have increased. The sembako with falling prices are Red Cayenne Pepper, Medium-sized Garlic, and Garlic.
