1. Vladimir Potanin – US$ 24.3 billion (Rp 348.15 trillion)
2. Alexey Mordashov – US$ 21.4 billion (Rp 306.6 trillion)
3. Leonid Mikhelson – US$ 21.2 billion (Rp 303.73 trillion)
4. Vladimir Lisin – US$ 20.4 billion (Rp 292.3 trillion)
5. Andrey Melnichenko – US$ 20 billion (Rp 286.54 trillion)

With a wealth of US$ 24.3 billion or Rp 348.15 trillion, Vladimir Potanin currently tops the list of the richest people in Russia. Potanin is the founder of Onexim Bank, a bank that controls industrial giants in Russia.

Currently, Potanin is the president of Norilsk Nickel, the world's largest producer of refined nickel. Potanin acquired Norilsk Nickel in the early 1990s with Mikhail Prokhorov under a "loans for shares" scheme, holding 54% of the shares between them. Potanin owns 34% of the shares.
